Privacy Policy

Effective Date: January 2026

1. Introduction

Oaklyn Real Estate (“we”, “our”, “us”) values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or submit an enquiry through our platform.

2. Information We Collect

When you use our website or submit an enquiry form, we may collect the following information:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Property preferences, budget, and requirements

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • To respond to and process your enquiries
  • To connect you with licensed real estate professionals
  • To provide updates and relevant property opportunities (with your consent)
  • To improve our services and website performance
  • To comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements

4. Sharing of Information

We may share your information with licensed real estate brokers or authorized partners for the purpose of assisting with your enquiry. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your data may also be disclosed if required by law or regulatory authorities.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

6. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Strictly necessary cookies keep the site functioning and are always active. Alongside those we use analytics and advertising cookies. Whether these are active before you choose depends on where you are — see section 8.

  • Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (“_ga”, “_ga_*”) and Microsoft Clarity (“_clck”, “_clsk”), used to understand which pages are read, for how long, and how visitors move through the site. Clarity also records session replays of page interactions. Stored for up to two years.
  • Marketing — Google Ads (“_gcl_au”), the Meta pixel (“_fbp”, “_fbc”) and the Reddit pixel (“_rdt_uuid”), used to measure our campaigns and show relevant listings. Stored for up to ninety days.
  • Strictly necessary storage — we record your cookie choice itself in your browser’s local storage under the key “oaklyn.cookie-consent”, and store a “oaklyn_region_strict” cookie noting only whether your country falls under European privacy rules. Neither identifies you, and both are exempt from consent — we list them because you are entitled to know what is on your device, not because you are being asked to agree to them.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie Settings link at the foot of every page. Switching a category off deletes the cookies those vendors set on this website and stops their scripts loading thereafter.

There is a limit to that, and we would rather state it than imply otherwise. Microsoft, Google and Meta also set cookies on their own domains — including clarity.ms, bing.com and doubleclick.net — which our Cookie Settings cannot reach or delete, because no website is permitted to alter another domain’s cookies. To remove those, use your browser’s privacy settings, or the vendors’ own opt-outs: Google Ads Settings, Meta Ad Preferences, Microsoft opt-out and Reddit privacy settings.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. You may also withdraw your consent to marketing communications at any time by contacting us.

8. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the GDPR, UK GDPR or Swiss FADP applies to you, and this section governs where it differs from the rest of this policy.

Consent before loading. No analytics or advertising technology loads, and no such cookie is written, until you choose. The banner opens with every optional category switched off, and “Reject all” sits beside “Accept all” as an equal choice. Declining is not made harder than accepting, and closing the banner without choosing is not treated as agreement.

Lawful bases. We rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) for analytics and advertising cookies and for marketing email. We rely on steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) to respond to a property enquiry you submit, and on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) in securing the website and preventing fraudulent submissions. You may withdraw consent at any time, and doing so is as easy as giving it — the Cookie Settings link at the foot of every page. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out beforehand.

Your rights. You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it. We will not charge you for exercising these rights and will respond within one month.

Retention. Enquiry records are kept for up to twenty-four months after our last contact with you, after which they are deleted. Analytics and advertising cookies expire on the schedule set out in section 6.

International transfers. We are established in the United Arab Emirates, and our vendors — Google, Microsoft, Meta and Reddit — process data in the United States and elsewhere. These are transfers outside the EEA and the UK. They are made under the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, as incorporated into those vendors’ terms; where a vendor is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, transfers may also rely on that adequacy decision. You may request a copy of the safeguards by contacting us.

Complaints. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk); in the EEA it is the authority in your country of residence, workplace or where you believe the issue arose. We would ask that you raise it with us first, but you are not obliged to.

9. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such external sites. We encourage users to review the privacy policies of third-party websites before providing any personal information.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in legal requirements or business practices. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
